     I watched a documentary about the Spanish anarchist movement. It was a period in time when the country of Spain was somewhat unstable and there was freedom all around. I learned the word for government is gobierno. I also learned the word for distribution is distribución. The documentary gave me an inside look into the lives of people working to make their country better.

      In much of Latin America Día de los Reyes or Día de los Reyes Magos is celebrated in particular by children who receive gifts from the three Magi . In Memphis, where we celebrate Christmas, kids believe their gifts come fro Santa Claus.In Mexico, one of the most important elements of Día de los Reyes is the Rosca de Reyes, or the Wreath of the Kings. A large, oval-shaped cake filled with sweetened dried fruit, the King's Cake symbolizes a crown. In Memphis, we have wreaths with just pine cones and lights on them that we hang on our door. Across Latin America and the United States, Latinos celebrate Dia de Los Reyes in style with huge parades and celebrations thrown to commemorate the day. We have similarities and differences when it comes to how we celebrate holidays.

     Latin America and Spanish countries is a highly diverse area of land that holds various cuisines that vary from nation to nation.Some items typical of Latin American cuisine include maize-based dishes (tortillas, tamales, tacos, pupusas, arepas) and various salsas and other condiments (guacamole, pico de gallo, mole, chimichurri, chili, aji, pebre). Spanish cuisine is a way of preparing varied dishes, which is enriched by the culinary contributions of the various regions that make up the country.Spain was where it was first mixed with sugar to remove its natural bitterness. Other ingredients in Spain are rice, grapes, olives and many types of cereals. In Latin America, Honduran Cuisine combines Spanish, Caribbean and pre-Columbian influences of the indigenous Maya-Lenca population. Its most notable feature is that it uses more coconut than any other Central American cuisine in both sweet and savory dishes. In Spanish region such as Andalucia, Andalusian cuisine is twofold: rural and coastal. Of all the Spanish regions, this region uses the most olive oil in its cuisine. The dish that has achieved the most international fame is Gazpacho. Latin America and Spanish countries both have unique ways of cooking.

     My proficiency has grown this quarter and I want my level to exceed. My proficiency level has grown by being able to say more words, phrases, and questions. I am able to say questions like "¿Cuál es el nombre del país?" and "¿Qué te gusta hacer durante las navidades?". A way I can exceed it is by working harder, watching videos, and using more language resources. If I try, it can happen.

     I watche a commentary about Paco de Lucia. Paco de Lucia was a Spanish virtuoso flamenco guitarist, composer and producer. People were talking about his life and accomplishments. I learned two new words. I learned the word for guitarist is guitarrista. I learned the word for musician is músico. It was fascinating to see people talk about his great work.

     He encontrado la información más interesante sobre el Perú . Me pareció que la comida más importante se come después de mediodía . También he aprendido que los pobres del Perú no tienen un montón de tiempo libre debido a sus puestos de trabajo. Perú también tiene muchos festivales anuales inusuales . Perú tiene muchas escuelas públicas y privadas y que aprender acerca de cómo sobrevivir en el que viven . Esto es lo que he aprendido hasta ahora acerca de Perú .

   Me di cuenta de las similitudes y diferencias en nuestras formas de vida. Me di cuenta de que muchos de los mismos alimentos . Por ejemplo , los dos nos comemos pescado y arroz .Una diferencia que vi fue nuestra ropa. Nos vestimos pantalones vaqueros y que pueden llevar ponchos occidentales. Ambos países hacen trabajos similares. Ambos lugares tienen muchos agricultores que cultivan plantas para la vida. En ciertas ceremonias , pueblo peruano invovle más familia. Estas son las rutinas diarias y los puntos de interés que he aprendido hasta ahora.

En la mañana, me visto a las cinco y media. En la noche, yo me duermo a las diez. Yo me desperto a las cinco y cuarto. Yo me baño a las cinco y veinte. En la tarde, yo me relajo.      I watched the telenovela, My 3 Sisters. I watched 2 episodes. The two episodes were the introduction of the series. Augusto and his three sisters Silvia "La Generala", Lisa "La Perfecta" and Beatriz "La Beba" were practically left as orphans after the death of their mother and the unknown whereabouts of their father who abandoned them years ago. Now, Augusto had to place his dreams on hold in order to support his siblings. I learned that the word for general is generala and that each sister has different personalities.

Deseos Urbanos is a documentary that asks the citizens of Guadalajara and Zapopan, Mexico to open up and talk about some of their most personal stories and lifelong wishes. I also watched a documentary called Spanish Secret Conflict. It was about Catalan Independence. I learned the words for independence and urban which are independencia and urbanos.

I think I did okay on this prewrite. I think I did okay because I did not give a lot of information about myself and my family and the way my questions were formed. I give myself novice mid by questions and information about myself were not all informative and the words I used. I think I can improve my way of asking questions and the way I form words

I think I did well on my prewrite. I think I did well because of the wide range of words and information I gave. I think I would get a novice high because I gave a lot of information just maybe not in a full phrase or sentence. I can do better by using full sentences or combining my sentences.

I watched Decisiones on Youtube. The episode was about Gabriela being tired of her husband leaving for business, and so she is left alone with a hot worker. She basically was having an affair. I also watched a medical show about controlling a child's asthma. They were talking about the right medication for a child. Both shows were very good. I learned what Gato en Celo means which is what the topic of the Decisiones episode. I also learned the word for asthma from the medical show.
